State emblem of the Technical Combine

The emblem mostly represents the same ideals that are enshrined on the flag.

I guess this gives me a chance to talk a bit more about the country.

Most of the the other stuff you pretty much know already,
however I can go into a bit more detail.

So first and foremost what is their society like?

Well, just like many societies, although they have a huge emphasis on exploring creativity.
Through science, art, music, literature, and various other forms of entertainment.
Therefore education is considered in the highest of regards, and educational institutions are considered as crucial to the nation as food and water.

A good education is provided to the people as a human right, from first grade all the way to college, no one is to be denied,
no student loans needed, and attendance into the most prestigious educational institutions requires a sharp wit and a creative mind.



There's also a great effort into ridding the nation of it's nationalism and replacing it with a sort of "Internationally Human" viewpoint, which means to view themselves an all peoples of the world as humans, before viewing them as this group, or that group, or our group.

To the people of the Technical Combine, the people of the world are the same as them, just under different administrations,
thereby it's the duty of The State to share their ideology and the prosperity that comes with it to the world.

Mostly through humanitarian action, instead of military intervention, The State believes if you can show them the benefits of the system, they'll have to join at some point to rid themselves of the inequality that goes with the old systems that have been in place for so long.

This may seem a bit naive, but look what they accomplished through 30 years of the massive reconstruction campaign,
never before has a country completely changed itself into a new entity in such a generally short amount of time.



However, many of the governments of the world will not stand idly by and let the Technocrats accomplish their "Dream for a new way of life". The various institutions of power have a vested interest in stopping this ideology from ever touching their shores.

The Combine's arch nemesis, the Vextherian Empire has  interest in stopping this "pestilence of ideas" from leaving it's place of origin. Should that most terrible of days ever occur, then the Vextherian aristocracy who all but own the empire, will lose everything they have.

Even the Northern Confederation whose well known for their diversity and openness, have much to gain in stopping the ideology as well, seeing as they are the financial linchpin of the global economy, and are very similar to the United States during the golden age of industry, with many industrialists who came to the country to build their fortunes from the bottom to the top.


With that, there can be no doubt that the revolution which created the state and it's ideology, was like an opening of a can of worms giving rise to new ideas which could lead to great feats and lead to great instability in the lives of all the world's peoples.

The one thing that can be said with absolute certainty,
is that it was all done for the best of intentions.
